Its arrived... FOOTBALL...

What a shocker of a day today!! The first day of the Auskick Football Season for the two boys!! I couldn't believe it had to start today, and the day was just a shocker. It poured, it rained, it was windy, not what I call "Football" especially when they need parents volunteers. Sorry.. but I' sitting on the brick wall, with a umbrella on my head, and don't expect me to volunteer.

Tyler started with Auskicks 5 year olds... he loved it! I think what he loved the best was the rain! As how often do we as parents let kids play in that chilly windy rain???? But half of his team ran off crying as it was cold but my son, just stayed out there to continue. Unfortunately due to the weather, they only played half a match!

As a scrappin mum.. I couldn't believe it, that I actually forgot my camera. Wasn't feeling too good this morning, and was unsure of what was going on.. but I relize that I had to go, because Brandan was playing somewhere else at a different time! But as the day progressed on, I slowly started to feel better!

RIP ..... Tessa Woods

Unfortunately with a huge sadness in our hearts, we had to say goodbye to Tyler's good friend from pre primary Tessa Woods.

Just prior to the school holidays starting, her parents were called to the school to pick up there daughter, as they relized that something was seriously wrong. She had some neurological damage, but at this stage, parents were not aware of how serious it was.
After having a CAT Scan and MRI, it turned out that she had a huge mass on the brain called "Inoperatable Brain Tumour" What??? What?? How could such a sweet little girl suffer this. In the 48 hour time frame, she had lost her sight in her right eye, and was unable to walk (paralized on her left side). How could this happen?
Unfortunately she had a massive bleed to the brain, required surgery again, and apparently lost her battle for life on the April 24th where her parents made the heart breaking decision to let her go.

RIP Tessa Leigh Ann Woods.

Country Side Visit during School Holidays...

I know.. I know.. its been ages since I've updated my BLOG.. but for me to sit on the computer at the moment, isn't really appealing, tend to be spending alot of time with either the kids or just trying to keep up with the blast of the housework.

Thought it was time I got updated a bit, so I will post a few entries today, as so much as happened since!

Firstly... we took the plunge and went up north with my Mum to catch up with some of her family for a week. I so thoroughly enjoyed the week, just so eye catching for Tyler too, as he's at the age now of really understanding who is who, and how everyone is related! But boy, did he have some questions for us all....

Before we left on the Monday, Tyler had a bit of a bad night on the Sunday night. So, here I was debating on wether we should take the plunge and continue the trip with Mum.. but he was crying that he still wanted to go... so ended up going. Woke up on Monday with a high temperature, vomitting and dirrehea, but we still ended up going, and Mum was really good with him too.

Firstly, we went to Geraldton, where we spend two nights there. We caught up with my Grandfather (which is my Mum's Dad), it was nice to see him, as the only chance we get to see him, is when we go there to visit him. He was so good. Really amazed me, considering he is in his 80's now, living alone, with the help of Silver Chain. He adored being with Tyler, and did try to please Tyler most ways.

After having two nights here, we then progressed on to Three Springs, which is where I grew up and spend 17 years of my life here, stayed the night with my Dad's parents, which are still really well, but are showing signs of early alzheimer's, so they are both currently trying to get treatment for this. But other then that, Tyler had a blast, playing with Pop and the pool table.

After this, we then progressed on to Perejori, which is where my Mum spend all of her growing years on the farm, before she moved to Three Springs and married my dad. We stayed at my Aunty's farm, and Tyler just had a blast. He certainly didn't want to go home either! I must share some photos here thou.

So, after 6 nights away, we unfortunately had to return back home to return to the normal every day lifestyle!!! Tyler was devasted when he left for home, so when we left, my aunty said to me "you know you are welcome back here anytime" and I didn't relize that Tyler was listening, and he said "Yep for sure I'm coming back!" So, isn't it nice to be able to to take the kids on a holiday and not spend any money!

Happy Easter....

I know... I know.. its been a while since I've updated BLOGGER, but here I am now!

Nothing much has really been happening... so hence the reason for no update on Blogger.

I was dealt with the most devasting news that I could handle. A close friend of mine, and also Tyler's school friend, has a inoperatable brain tumour! What the?? Apparently, its been growing for a few years unnoticeable, and apparently the tumour is too close to the brain, and if she has a operation, she could risk becoming blind, paralized, or even die if she has a blood clot to the brain. She's only 5 years old how do you tell a 5 year old that your friend is in hopsital and might not live? They are doing a biospy this week to see if the tumour is maliagnat or not, if it is, they will try radiation and chemo treatments, just to give her more time. What is worst, her mother is expecting their 3rd child in 7 weeks. It was just a sad day for me, and had the need to go out, so we ended up going to Fremantle on Good Friday, and it was just a great day, as it was the start of the Freo Festival "Busking" and the acts they were doing was just brilliant. ended up staying there and had fish and chips for tea.

Things have been good around the home front... holidays is on and Tyler is so rapt. (I think he just had enough of pre primary!!) We've got so much planned for the holidays, that I am so looking forward to having a week of relaxation when we go to Geraldton, Three Springs, Perenjori for the second week of the holidays with Mum. We are visiting Mum's side of the family, heading out to a farm, where I know Tyler is going to have a ball just hanging around with my uncle and of course my cousins, driving the tractors and etc. Can't wait! Will at least keep him out of mischief!

Have got a busy Easter Long Weekend, but I'm happy with it, so today we are heading of to Kings Park to catch up with my old mothers group for a play and a coffee.. and then after that, going to a Easter Egg Hunt with Tyler's school friends, and we get the chance for a catch up (won't be a nice catch up as we've since heard the news of Tyler's school friend) and then probably stay on for pizza and a few drinks.

Tmrw (Easter Sunday), thought we might just head out in the 4WD for the day.. not too sure where we are going yet, but I just want to get out of the house.... as sick of doing house work (who isn't....) and then on Monday going to catch up with my sister and see how her renovations are going.

Well.. nothing exciting is it.. just a reason to update my Blogger!

Might have some photos to share after Easter!

Take care and drive safe on the roads.

Harmony Day at School

It was dress up day for Harmony Day at Campbell Primary School.

After a lot of debating, and also trying to teach the boys that you can find a costume at home without having to go and spend the $$$, it turned out that they wanted to go and represent their own country! How sweet is this.... so I remembered that we had the Aussie T-shirts, and baclava's from Aussie Day when we went to Moore River. So, lucky with that, denim shorts, thongs, and some face drawings, it came up brilliant! I have attached a photo for those of you who want a sneek peak.

How sweet is this photo!! **GRIN** The boys also thought it was very cheeky of me what I did too!

My weekend....

Time to update again girls!!

Had a brilliant scrapbooking weekend! I had a friend who came over and scrapped to our hearts contents. We scrapped from 7pm till 1.30am on Friday night, it was just brilliant, the boys and the hubby were all just brilliant. We then woke up the next morning and started scrapbooking again from about 8am, eating and drinking on the go! Really enjoyed it, and was good to get some layouts out of the way. I will share them here hopefully Blogger will let me.

Had to go to a baby shower on Saturday afternoon.. it was okay, thought we were going there for some fun and games, but as it turned out it wasn't.. just a catch up, eat and drink! From 2pm till 5pm, so we both said we should have stayed home and did some scrapbooking, but guess that wasn't the case!

Had mexican for tea that night... Fiona and Faith ended up staying for tea, so had a lot of passing down the table of all the lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, sauce, sour cream and etc, but it all worked out well in the end! The three of us then did more scrapbooking till about 12 pm that night, so it was good... just wish we could do it more often, so we are hoping to catch up!

Here is three of the layouts I did over the weekend... I have got a few more, but have not yet finished them.

Away from the scrapbooking news... this is how I found my son Tyler on Saturday night. He was complaining it was hot, and blaa blaa, but none of us found it that hot!! So... here it is...

Tyler Merit Award

Well, nothing much has really been happening this week.

On Monday I was rostered on to do Pre Primary Parent Duty. What a morning it was! i was just swamped with kids, some of them I knew, some of them I didn't! They were all over me.. it was kinda cute, and I really enjoyed it. I just had to monitor their computer use, and make sure they all knew how to use the mouse correctly. Tyler just thoroughly enjoyed having me there, so for sure, I'll be on the roster again before I know it.

Also, on the same day, I was told that Tyler would be getting a Merit Certificate. Me just like any other mother was just thrilled and so happy for him, but I didn't know what he was getting it for. So, the keen mother with scrapbooking in her mind, goes down for the assembly (it was a riding day at school, so had to ride my bike back to school at 1pm in time for the assembly (HOT HOT)) with the camera in the hand, battery fully charged and also of course a memory card. Hubby ended up meeting me there, he didn't have any delivery runs on (lucky him), so we were both able to be there to watch him get his first Merit Certificate. When they called out his name, his teacher told him, Tyler get up and get your certificate, and he said, no there must be another Tyler Macri here.. and she was trying to tell him to get up and get his certificate!! He was shocked I think. So, He got the merit certificate for "The Wonderful way you told news, great speaking". So, he was happy with it I am sure. (he's the little one... )

But on the down side, there teacher is pregnant and leaving on Friday. He certainly isn't looking forward to saying good bye to her, she's such a lovely teacher.. He comes home from school every day counting down the days till they say good bye to her. Will for sure buy her a little farewell present for her.

Had to go to Mum's today to make something like 120 green lamingtons for St Patricks Day, as they are doing a trip tmrw on the coaches going to Irish venues for lunch, Irish pub in the afternoon for a friday afternoon beer and etc. So, was glad to see all the lamingtons green and not white anymore!

Have got a scrapbooking night planned with a girlfriend this Friday night.. Can't wait! I just want to get back into scrapbooking!! Been so long since I've completed one, so hopefully I can share some then. And then she is sleeping over, and then going to a baby shower on Saturday afternoon.

Well must sign off.. this is longer then I thought it would be.

Tassie Deb visit WA!!!

Well, the day was great! We started at 10am for morning tea, which then turned into lunch, and I left at 2pm as had to go and drop my son off at my sisters place... so I am sure they were still there till it closed.

If I am correct (WA Girls let me know if I am not) it was probably a first meet for the WA version of the Aussie Layouts to meet. What a great morning we had....

So.. in the photo is Tassie Deb, Marg, Lyn, Tyler with his Richmond Teddie called Richie, Me (Jenelle), Nicole Beltane, Vikki with her 6 month old son Connor, Michelle, and Anna.

I'm sure now that we've met, we've got to know each other a bit more now, we've exchanged phone numbers and I'm sure we will be in touch!

I think Anna or Michelle have got some more funny photos to share.... stupid me.. was soo prepared for today as in the camera department, fully charged battery, get there to take photos of tyler and it was grrr that I forgot the memory cards, so lucky I had my small portable camera in my bag, so I had to use this. Next time someone says remember to charge batteries, how about saying and check your memory cards! Now I have put them both in the camera for next time. So, I'm sure we will be getting more photos to share in the next few more days from our meet with Tassie Deb.

So, many thanks to Mish for organizing the day.... just needs to a be a longer day so we get the chance to chat more, and also to Tassie Deb for visiting the West! Also to some of the girls that travelled the distance, it was certainly worth it to visit us all, we must do it again.

New FRIDGE!!!!!

Finally we get the chance to get a new fridge! Ours was just dying slowly, and it got to the point where the cheese was not cold, and even the boys could cut it! That is when I knew it was time to get a new one!!! Its a Sumsung 621 litres... 2 doors, water and ice maker... (not yet hooked up to the water tap yet!!) I don't usually brag on about these things but I'm just rapt that we've got a new fridge now!! We also got a new mattress aswel but a mattress is a mattress! Got a latex top and its sooo comforty. Got the new fridge on Monday 5th February.

Tyler's 5th Birthday

Tyler turned 5 on January 11th, after many days of counting down how many more sleeps till my birthday!! Because being so close after Christmas, both my husband and I just couldn't think what to buy for him... we ended up getting him a bubble blower, as he just loves bubbles... but we will get him something else during the year when he finds something that he wants.

His birthday was on Thursday, and we ended up going to MacDonalds for lunch, so just that he could have a frozen coke!!! So, both Brandan and Faith were with me, so they got to have a bit of a play, and then home, and then went to folks home for birthday dinner, as my sister and kids were there, so went there so the kids could have a swim in the pool, had a BBQ dinner, ice cream cake and he was happy.
We had a bit of a surprise party for him on the Saturday after his birthday. We called in the BubbleMania in to do a demo of bubbles and etc for the party, but it certainly wasn't worth the $$$. It was good, but I think from my point of view, I was expecting a bit more of bubbles like big bubbles and etc.. but it was just that they putted all the buckets of bubble mix on the lawn and the kids got to play with him.. oh well, guess they had fun while they did, but because it was so hot, we didn't get to use them to the full as the kids were getting hot from playing on the lawn. Will share some photos at the bottom of this post.
